BBB Institute is excited to announce we will soon be launching the 2024 Fighting Financial Fraud program (FFF) and are looking for participants and champions. If you, or a member of your team, are interested in participating, we’d love to hear from you! This program is made possible thanks to support from the FINRA Investor Education Foundation.

We will be holding an online informational meeting on Tuesday, February 6th at 3pm Eastern. Please email Mark Batchelor ([email protected]) if you are interested in attending.

Fighting Financial Fraud is a train-the-trainer program designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and materials necessary to provide consumer education via presentations, workshops, or other means of engagement. BBB Institute is seeking:

Participants:  

  • People with a passion for community outreach who would like to educate the public about signs of financial fraud and how to protect themselves. 
  • People looking to sharpen their presentation skills and add to their library of consumer-focused materials.

Commitment: 

  • Participate in six monthly training sessions (April – Sept; approximately 1.5 hrs. each)  
  • Participate in three bi-monthly small group meetings with your regional Champion
  • Participate in a group video project
  • Report program outreach activities a minimum of once per quarter 
  • Travel to a year-end training/graduation session in September 2023; your travel costs will be covered. (location TBD) 

 Champions:

  • Prior FFF participants who would like to share their knowledge and experience with this year’s cohort
  • People who are enthusiastic about mentoring others
  • Champions’ BBB will also receive a stipend of $2,000 for their participation

Commitment:

  • Help identify/recruit Fighting Financial Fraud participants
  • Host a minimum of three bi-monthly small group meetings with your FFF team
  • Participate in six monthly training sessions (April – Sept; approximately 1.5 hrs. each)
  • Travel to a year-end training/graduation session in September 2023; your travel costs will be covered. (location TBD)
  • Help plan FFF program activities and provide feedback and guidance to program participants
